I discovered Barcelona-based Marta though one of Casey Cooper's videos where she was featured. After watching some of her other videos, I was completely hooked cause she's got The Pocket. Not only that but she's only 20 just started playing the bass in 2010... that's crazy. Seems that Jamiroquai liked her playing of their tunes as her Facebook showed her doing some dates with the band. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Marta on the big stage... Thanks to MODX and Darkstar Design for the great write-up...! Revolution keeps the beat for Pearl Scott Wespi, CTO of Nashville's Darkstar Design, walks us through the process of how his team helped Pearl Drums execute their vision and freed their Marketing department. MODX Revolution performed perfectly in the spotlight. The new Pearl Drums website uses MODX Revolution (Revo) to serve thousands of visitors every day. When Pearl first approached Darkstar Design to overhaul their website, back in 2007, we were unable to use MODX Evolution due to some limitations with permission and scaling capabilities. Five years later, we didn’t have to think twice about using Revo. With a powerful caching engine that could support thousands of pages, a robust Access Control (ACL) system for users with different roles and permissions, and an extensive API that we could use to meet Pearl’s unique needs; there really was no better choice for this huge website and its thousands of daily visitors.

Yes, a great marketing idea but there are sooooo many easter eggs in this... the Bilbo bit is priceless! Happy Birthday to Rick "The Secret" Patin... one of the few people I can hug more than 3 seconds. Here's are a few little diddys that we threw down from his CD, Americana Gold. Follow him on his Facebook at Rick Patin Music. We saw "Brapman" at Rick's Comic City at Free Comic Book Day.
