Watched the 'The Beatles GET BACK', a 3-part documentary on Disney+, and not only do you feel like you're in the room with them during their writing process but you witness the rollercoaster of band dynamics. A lot of those 'push & pull' moments will be familiar if you've ever been part of a creative group (of any kind) but this happens to be with one of the most influential bands in the world.
Critics have commented that it is too long (total runtime is nearly eight hours) and that it shows too many 'small moments' but those are the ones that really humanize them and the situations they're in... they don't get to the historical rooftop performance without them.
I definitely have a deeper understanding and appreciation for them and Billy Preston... warts and all. Warning: don't watch this if you're trying to quit smoking because I wouldn't be surprised if the tobacco industry funded this entire project.
